A collection of solo classical guitar which is meditational, healing music.
Bio / Background
Victor Ravner Salinas is a classical guitarist and composer from Austin Texas. Since 2002 Ravner has performed solo guitar music professionally in Austin Texas for various events, ranging from corporate functions, large weddings, Church Dedications, to candle lit dinners for two. If there is a need for music he gladly performs.
Growing up in rual texas, he first began teaching himself music with a guitar he recieved when he was 11 years old. He learned his earliest music from Ramones and New York Dolls LPs and studied briefly with various forgettable teachers before starting his own learning. No matter who anyones teachers have been, the progress is always measured in how well a musician dedicates and sacrifices for their vocation. The recording samples available here speak for themselves. Eventually he just learned as much as he could from listening and practicing, and practicing, and practicing and practicing some more.
In 1996 at 19, he put down music to learn a trade.
↓ more ↓Settling in Charles Village in Baltimore he began to learn the craft of film and theatre production at nearby Towson University. By his graduation time he had produced three of his own films. Working in the film and theatre trades served him well (even now) as he saw precicely how shows of all kinds must be organized, from the top down. He learned that a musical performance is not just about playing music. Any event where the performing arts are commissioned to add elegance, set the tone, raise the spirits of those in attendance, it is always an event that begins on many levels hours before the first note is ever played.
Recently joing Ravner Salinas in some live performances is the Latin singer songwriter Andrea Cortez. While a talented guitarist, and songwriter, Ms Cortez is also a board certified music therapist and recieved her masters degree in music from Colorado State University. Andrea currently resides in austin texas, where she is an active member of the music therapy community. See related gigmasters page to hear more of Andrea Cortez guitar and voice

A decent CD, but frequent clapping interuptions since it was recorded live, and little personal adaptations.
