Bio / Background
The chameleon ascends the trunk of a jungle tree with a tree python hot on his trail. He climbs up two branches, takes on the color of the tree, and the python hesitates in its pursuit. Camouflaged, the chameleon escapes his fate for another day.
Much like a chameleon, Randall Gilbert has changed "colors" with his music. Following the release of "Mirage", Randall Gilbert turned to a high tech studio to begin recording even more pieces with a distinctly cool sound. The most current work is Love Singles with 2 new songs, "One Way to Paradise" and "Once".
"Listeners have been so generous in their positive reactions to these pieces," states Randall. "And it's what I hear from audiences that gives me the drive for upcoming songs."
For anyone who has had doubts after a first date, "One Way to Paradise" is a percussive rush with an Italian/English mix. The opening drum and bass line cry for dancing!
"Once" portrays the feelings from a lost love.
↓ more ↓With his mellow expressive voice, a vocal duet, and a beautiful guitar interlude, it requires no effort to relate to the message in this song. "Losing a love hurts, but the memories we have never fade," explains Randall.
Love Singles has already been introduced to adult contemporary radio stations in Italy and North America. Reactions from "Wow!" to "This should be movie music" are being heard. Randall delivers again with one of the most luscious voices in popular music.
