This is a collection of imaginative children's songs, which includes 7 tracks with children singing some of the parts and done using all acoustic intruments including autoharp,6 and 12 string guitars, bass guitar, mandolin, violin and drums.
Bio / Background
In making this CD, our goal was to produce a collection of imaginative children's songs that we treasured and wished to pass on to our children, grandchildren and future generations with the help of family and friends. It was a lot of fun to do and was endearing to see and hear the children do their parts. We use all acoustic instruments playing mostly older songs.
Jim Foldy plays lead guitar using a Petros custom-made 6-string and a Guild jumbo 12-string and plays high guitar on several songs. He sings lead on Winken, Blinken And Nod, Puff The Magic Dragon and seven others. His two sons play on the album and two of his grandchildren sing in the children's chorus. His wife Kathy sings in the adult chorus on the album.
Jerry Foldy play bass guitar on all of the songs. His son Jacob Foldy, who is only 3 learned two of the songs and sings on Puff The Magic Dragon and This Land Is Your Land in the children's chorus.
