Bio / Background
The ensemble we know as Prozack Staple was fully formed in June of 1999, adding vocalist Nate Thomas to a trio comprised of Jaime Reynolds on guitars, Gordy Burks on drums, and Tim Chomiak on bass. Monotonous Mt. Vernon, WA, a city roughly equidistant from Seattle, WA, and Vancouver, B.C., has ironically been the fodder for their complex and innovative musical style- a style that essentially ?wakes up? the average listener.
The fluidity presented in the transitions of their songs can be compared to many given monumental pieces of classical music. Thus, when at a live Staple show, one witnesses firsthand the consistency and flow that is a trademark of their music. Early 2000 united them as performers with longtime friend and supporter Arron Steiner. As a stage performer known as ?the phreek,? Steiner uses an array of unique homemade masks, costumes, and stilts that provide hypnotic visual stimulus through movement and symbolism, corresponding to the band?s intense sound.
↓ more ↓Recently, Prozack Staple has enhanced the northwest with their new independently released album, The Calm behind the Chaos, owing much of their success to their fans: a national street team provides the public with important up-to-date info on the band, handing out CD samplers, flyers for upcoming shows, and requests to hear them on local radio stations. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be where we are today. Staple is also becoming internationally recognized, accruing fans via the internet from places like Australia, Japan, and Europe.
Being nationally supported by Jagermeister has allowed Prozack Staple to join a family of unique artists including Slayer, Pantera, Saliva, 36 Crazyfists, Hed P.E., Five Foot Thick, Insane Clown Posse, Switched, Chimaira, Lit, and FMLY. While on tour, they have shared the stage with Jager bands such as Hed P.E., and Saliva as well as bands like Systematic, Breaking Benjamin, and Stereomud.
Prozack Staple also belongs to Seattle Metal Online, and have had their song ?Obelisk? aired on the following Fox Sports Network extreme sports TV shows: High Octane, Vans Off The Wall, and Core Culture. They have appeared on Outdoor Life Network's Para-Sailing Programs as well as had nonstop airplay on XM Radio's Unsigned Channel 52 They are also sponsored by Dirtbag Clothing and are always on the look out for new endorsers that will promote their name for everyone?s mutual advantage.
With received interest from labels and management companies such as Flawless Records, Metal Blade Records, King Artist Management, GWN Europe, and Freeze Management/I Am Recordings, this band merely waits without stagnation for the structure and professionalism that a label will most certainly bring forth. We're ready to work hard for any label who would be interested in assisting us??

The music in this album accentuates itself perfectly, and is instantly classic. While some of it wasn't my style, I still enjoyed this album greatly.
