Bio / Background
Michel Prezman is a composer, arranger and orchestrator who has scored music for many genres, including world music, traditional art songs, jazz, new age, dance, and many more. He scored over 20 award-winning documentary films. His compositions have been heard in theatres, on television, radio, and in live performances before audiences numbering in the thousands. His music is found in prestigious music libraries in the United States and in France.
The overwhelming quality of his work is its cinematic character. His music often has exciting climaxes, sharp angles, or ethereal passages. His use of beautiful, intriguing melodies and strong pulsing rhythms combined with a signature harmonic style are instantly recognizable. His orchestrations generate a range of emotions from taught suspense to lush romanticism and his themes range from crystalline, bright, and sing-able to broodingly ominous. His rhythmic and harmonic crescendos leave listeners breathless.
