Bio / Background
"We're just wallpaper tonight", is what an old drummer in my band used to say all time. If you listen to the title track here (to your left) it will make more sense.. I am also a great fan of George Harrison. In 1968 he released a soundtrack album called "Wonderwall Music". It had many different styles of music (Although primarily East Indian). A virtual plethora of sounds. That's where alot of the inspiration for this album came from and the fact that I had so many songs that sounded so different from each other. In the 2 years before I actually started recording "Wallpaper Music" I had written about 25 songs. I started recording the album in August 2001 and finished in February 2002. I usually have a good idea of what an album will sound like before I start recording it. On this one I wanted a lot of "color" and to layer and orchestrate the songs with guitars and vocals. I also wanted the album to have alot of musical landscapes.
