Modeled after the acoustic, swing jazz of Django Reinhardt and his incalculable influence across continents, the Polyjesters have since stirred in the spunk and spark of their easy going, playful temperaments, the wide appeal of modern folk, and the light, shuffley, feel-good buoyancy of alt. country and bluegrass to concoct a thoroughly warming, tingling collection, reminiscent of hot whiskey spreading from mouth to backbone. With an brief jaunt into hip-hop-meets-acoustic-pop, they haven't forgotten to throw in a wild card here and there along their way to capturing a bundle of creative innovation within a cherished and well-polished genre.
