Bio / Background

Plumerai started back in 2004 and we were immediately signed by start-up Boston label Get Nice Records but that's old news. Since then we've released one full-length with Get Nice and after being picked up by Silber Records we immediately released an EP titled "res cogitans" (2006) featuring the current line up of Elizabeth Ezell on vocals, Martin Newman on guitar, James Newman on bass and Todd Richards on drums. It's 2007 now and we're on the eve of releasing a proper full-length CD titled "Without Number". The disc was self-produced and recorded in the band's home studio between playing shows and living life. We took all the elements of music we enjoy from shoegaze, to gypsy/european folk, to post-punk and filmscores and blended them all into an amazing backdrop to support Elizabeth's sultry and heartfelt vocals.
