Bio / Background
Sylvia Pilar is a singer songwriter who has been in the music scene from Coast to Coast. Underground clubs of San Francisco, to a one-woman show “The Lady is a Vamp” on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, and lounges like Le Bar Bat, Hush, and off-Broadway stages throughout New York City have all been graced by Sylvia. After many years of writing and with two songbooks registered with the Library of Congress, she finally decided it was time to get serious, and was compelled to record and produce her own original material, with a new perspective, and her debut CD: “SEDUXION”
Sylvia's adult eclectic music is a fusion of sophisticated vintage qualities and contemporary grooves that relate to a hip Euro-lounge genre. Influences of pop/jazz and Latin/bossa rhythms blend seamlessly in her original songs as well as the cover songs.
