Homegrown bluesy rock music.
Bio / Background
...thanks a lot for your wonderful music gift, your CD is excellent, according to me is very good mixture of blues and classical guitar rock with the great ballads,I like blues but not pure blues it seems to me little bit boring but your music is typical american music product so missing on our music market and in whole Europe too.
I listen your record in my home music bar with a glass of good czech beer for several times and seems to me better and better after every listening.
I ordered another one from CD baby for my good friend
who enjoyed it too.Like a former radio manager I would
like to present your music in some our alternative radio
stations or in clubs and try to find some useful music contats in Czech rep.I hope me and your another fans here
will have a chance to see your life show someday.
I wish you and Phillips brothers a piece of success
in your musical career and in your personal lifes too.
↓ more ↓Give my best regards to the rest of the band
and keep rockin´
your friend in Czech Rep.

"...Reverberating, electric riffs drive this band's aggressive, rugged rock. Chris' sandpaper vocals exude gritty determination..." -AM Good Times Magazine
"You guys are really good. Great song, great lyrics, really good vox. Cheers"
---Weezy
"Dug it! Best wishes and much fortune to you all. Stay Cool!"
---M. Haviik/ Spiders and Snakes
"The Phillips Brothers" cover a lot of musical ground with their original songs. It's hard to sum up their style in a just few words. The music has a positive feeling, that isn't exactly like anything else.
The Phillips Brothers are most often compared to the band "ZZ-Top." The band was formed in 2001. Mark Chase (an accomplished guitarist in his own right) agreed to play the bass guitar and joined the Phillips brothers to create what became the new Alternative - Blues - Rock band.
"Poverty & Pain" is the product of a years work. All twelve tracks are original songs by the group. No "remixes" or rip-offs. You can tell by listening to the songs that some thought went into writing them. The project features master saxophonist Tom Riggs and keyboards by Ted Levine. Enjoy!
