Bio / Background
The Bay Area has been long known for it's way of unveiling a heavy load of innovative and talented artists. Now make way for San Francisco's funkie Bolivian import known as PHAME. With his musical offerings, PHAME tantilizes listeners with a smooth blend of rhythms and a languid flow that meshes his native Latin tongue with a vibrant energy that San Francisco not only demands but embraces. And with his hard work, PHAME has succeeded in creating his own brand of hip hop, using eclectic selection of music(produced by Gennessee, Coz Pacino, and Dj Zatch) that spans old school hip-hop, new wave and classic rock. When designing this unique sound, PHAME felt strongly that although he is Bolivian and from the West Coast, it would be limiting to conform completely to any particular sound or flavor. Instead, PHAME prefers to describe his sound as 'Friscolicious', which he feels justly explains his San Francisco loyalty, influences, and aspirations.
