Bio / Background
Pete Jones was Public Image Limited's second bass player brought in to complete the recording of 'Commercial Zone' and for live gigs August 82 - April 83 after a short spell touring with Cowboys International and was drafted into PiL by Martin Atkins, who had played with him, originally in Brian Brain. Pete left PiL before the 1983 Japanese tour, just prior to Keith Levene, owing to a mixture of home sickness and disillusionment.
As well as playing on the majority of 'Commercial Zone' he also contributes songwriting, Solitaire and most notably the Atkins / Jones collboration 'Miller-Hi-Life', but has never been properly credited. He also appears on PiL's biggest UK chart hit 'This Is Not A Love Song'.
After PiL Pete recorded EPs under the 'Jabberjab Art and Media UK' label to promote his own art. In 2000 he released a very underrated self-distributed solo album 'Twisted'. A multi-instrumentalist who writes, engineers, mixes and produces all his own works.
