Perley Curtis grew up in Exeter, Maine and developed a love of country music and its legends like Buck Owens, Merle Haggard and Loretta Lynn. After first picking up a guitar at age eight, he played his first paying gig when he was just nine years old - at his uncle’s wedding reception.

In the eight years following, Curtis performed in bluegrass bands throughout New England before moving to Nashville in 1988. Since his move to Music City, the skilled singer/songwriter/musician has formed a country band of his own and has also earned a reputation as a skilled dobro and steel guitarist, performing with artists such as: Holly Dunn, Becky Hobbs, Johnny Paycheck, Connie Smith, The Reno Brothers, Del Reeves, Loretta Lynn and most recently, Charlie Louvin.

Although Perley Curtis‘s “Skinny Dipping With Paris Hilton” is less than a week old and does not even yet exist on a CD, thanks to the internet the song is already being played by radio stations in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, Sweden Belgium and Poland and that is just the ones we know about so far.
