Hauntingly beautiful, the oboe of love (oboe d'amore) sings with its melancholic voice and swings in a jazzy finale.

Edwin Carr's Two Mansfield Poems are beautifully suited to the sound of Jennifer Paull's Oboe d'Amore....In John McCabe's Dance-Prelude, jazz elements work so well...this is all 20th century music and again all very approachable. I did say Jennifer Paull was a champion of the Oboe d'Amore!"
