Bio / Background
Patrick Neher is a world-renowned double bass soloist, composer, and clinician. He has traveled the world promoting solo double bass playing and teaching. His music has received premieres throughout the USA, Europe and Australia, and he has received numerous commissions for writing works in instrumental and vocal genres. For more than 20 years his performances have featured new and interesting works for double bass, including those with a theatrical bent like: "A Frog Prince Continued..." and "Improv' d'Amour". He has arranged and presented new and old music alike, including first performances and publications of the music of Bottesini, Misek, Proto, Turetzky, Hauta-aho, Walter, and music by himself.
