Bio / Background
Saxophonist Brian Patneaude’s latest recording - As We Know It (WEPA Records) - features his long-standing quartet with guitarist George Muscatello, bassist Mike DelPrete and drummer Danny Whelchel along with special guest Dave Payette on fender rhodes. The album is comprised of seven melodically driven original compositions that feature inventive solos and the cohesive group sound that the quartet has become known for.
Formed in 2002, the Brian Patneaude Quartet has quickly become one of the most well known jazz acts in upstate New York. Their music is an organic blend of modern jazz styles, featuring accessible melodies and harmonic textures that appeal to the casual listener and jazz aficionado alike. The group’s close-knit musical relationship and seamless interplay is a result of performances at numerous venues throughout the Northeast.
