Bio / Background
Patchwork Blue is one of Fort Collins, Colorado’s most versatile bands. Equally comfortable performing in an intimate coffee shop setting or rocking with the heaviest bands at the loudest venues, Patchwork Blue, a member of the acoustic rock genre, delivers a true “patchwork” of jazz, funk, Latin, and other styles, with soulful singing and sincere lyrics.
The core of Patchwork Blue was formed in August 2001 with Ryan Edwards on vocals and guitar and brother, Matthew, on bass guitar. After a stint as a quartet with a drummer and a lead guitarist, which yielded the band’s first album “Tremble Roots”, Patchwork Blue settled into a three-piece configuration with the addition of Nate Brown on trap set and percussion in 2005 and produced their third album, Junction, in May 2006.
