Winfield Parker grew up with gospel music filling his life. From Sunday family gatherings reading from the Holy Bible and singing "Amazing Grace" to performing on stage with such Gospel luminaries as Mother Albertina Walker, Luther Barnes, Soul Stirrers, Jackson Southernaires. Lee Williams and the Williams Brothers. This was his calling. His calling from the Lord God was so firmly planted inside him from an early age. "If I can reach one - just one person with my music ministry - my work will have been done."

His path in music wasn't always to the Lord. Winfield was like many teens attracted to singing popular music, or rock and roll, back then. "I had a gift -- I could play a mean sax, now. Even at a young age, I was on the road playing my sax and touring worldwide with Little Richard's band. My manager back then saw that I could sing, too. So he started me opening for a number of groups. I could tear it up, you hear? I was blessed to perform on stage with the best - the Temptations, Four Tops, Lloyd Price, Chuck Jackson. And those are just a few. My life was great, I was making a name for myself, I was on top of the world.

But God wants you to see His glorious light, and keep your eyes opened and focused on Him. Not everyone allows this to happen. Some people - even me back then -- were blinded by His light. His light is a beacon to direct you in His path. It took me some time to see and understand this. But I dedicated myself to reading the Word, and praise the Lord, I saw His beacon of light and allowed it to direct my path. I was no longer blinded by it. This is something I stress to young people. To understand how we view God's light. You can see it negatively, as blinding, or see His light as a beacon to direct you to His glorification. A long time ago, I redirected my God-given gift of voice to singing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And, I have never wavered from that promise to my Lord God, perfect Savior."

Winfield's has given his life to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His earnest work has resulted in God blessing him to guide him in the formation of his record label, BP Records, Inc., and publishing company, Monterlav Publishing, Inc. Winfield has composed and arranged numerous gospel works in his catalogue, all included in seven widely recognized and in-demand albums, including his most recent 2005 release, "Miracle."
