It's finally here! The new release from PAPER SUN, "Good Things" contains 12 new tracks of groovy retro rock n' roll that document their time and experience in LA. The song, "Los Angeles" opens the album with overdriven guitars tearing into a dirty swing groove that hasn't been heard since the days of Soul Coughing. "Good Things" showcases the best vocal performances of PAPER SUN's career with songs like "Fast Enough", Sally Jaye's demonstration of powerful vocal dynamics ala PJ Harvey, and "Valentine", where Joel Eckels sings us the blues Chris Robinson style. The album truly captures a spectrum of old-school influences while carving out a whole new style that PAPER SUN can call their own. Well crafted songs, gritty production style and top-notch musicianship make "Good Things" an excellent addition to any cd collection this year.
