Bio / Background
The Paper Kings, have been influenced by many styles of music, the result a combination of Folk and Rock.
The British sound of the 60’s and the American folk sound of the 70’s give the Paper Kings a strong foundation to their brand of music.
Brothers, Arty & Vic Pellerano, weave their songwriting abilities with their talent of playing many instruments to create an easy to listen to blend of music.
The vocals, harmonies and the overall sound will give you a comfortable and a familiar feeling “like you may have heard it before”.
Usually, the brother singing the lead vocal wrote and developed what they call the songbase (the general concept). Sometimes they both work on the lyrics and music. It is a team effort.
The Pellerano Songbook contains close to 300 songs. The styles, which have influenced the Paper Kings, are from John Denver, Taylor, Simon & Garfunkle, Peter & Gordon,
Everly Brothers to the Beatles, Zombies & Bee Gees. .

Arty & Vic love harmonies and strong melodies.
They, at times, ask other musicians to assist in the studio, to get that unique production they may be looking for. Growing up in the NY metro area, Arty & Vic were saturated with the music giants of the day and had the typical garages bands in High School.
Recently, Arty’s band “Sudden Madness” has played around the Jersey Metro area, while Vic went solo out in the Midwest Region . Today, Arty and Vic have combined their talents & efforts to form the Paper Kings.
Arty,is bit more Rock and Roll,& with his Lennon/Harrison voice gives the Paper Kings their sound. The strong driving rhythms and vocals are evident of this in songs like “It’s going to get Better’ and “Just wanna have Some Fun”. Arty still has his sound, therefore any song he sings becomes a Arty Song.
The heavy unique sound in “No Emotions” reflects the more mellow side of Arty.. Songs like "So Be it", though not on this album is another example of a fine production by Arty.
Please read the review by Gods of Music if interested in what's to come. Arty plays Drums (real drums) (does use a machine when they are not available) keyboards, guitar and trumpet.
Vic writes ballads, MOR & Folky stuff. Vic with his more mellow easygoing voice has been called by many the John Denver of the Midwest. Vic plays guitar (anything with strings) and keyboards. “Clouds are my Mountains” and his solo album “Wild Horses and Dreams” are a few examples of his work.
Gods of music has reviewed "Angels in the Sky" and "Tale of Medora Roughriders" & also Music Consensus reviewed
"Wild Horses and Dreams" for Vic. For Arty, "So Be It" has been reviwed by Gods of Music.
The Paper Kings are working on a second album, containing their 911 tribute songs "Eagle's Tears" & "New Born Free".
