Bio / Background
Fables of Fahtcha explores the balance between composition and improvisation. The six compositions pay homage to such avant-garde jazz legends as Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, and Thelonius Monk; drawing further inspiration from Tim Berne, Marc Ribot and Cecil Taylor. Available for the first time on CD, this newly remastered recording includes an additional 20 minutes of music not heard on the original 1992 release.

Daniel Panasenko is a multi-instrumentalist, improviser, and composer best known for his work with sandbox trio, an improvisational group dedicated to experimentation and instrument building.
