Bio / Background
2004-CD-CAN 0045: The long waited album from the "world-elektro" group. Palyrria is a collective of people from diverse backgrounds that create and perform music. They combine rhythms and modes from all over the world with electronic and experimental music. Based on experimentation and improvisation their work transcends the boundaries of musical styles while exploring the gray areas between east and west, old and new. Palyrria members include Panayiotis (Tsiko) Katsikiotis on electro and ethnic percussion, Dimitris (Dr Aja) Tsourgiannis on synths, effects and percussion, Konstantinos Haller in the production and audio technology, Artemis (Art Em) Kangas on traditional and custom made instruments and Panayiotis Kaperneka on flutes and vocals. Also Diamadis (Ta33is) Tassis is in charge of the visual presentation of the band.
