New York-based digital artist, Bill Byrne, and his wife, Suzanne are the voices behind The Painful Leg Injuries. Last year his debut CD-R, "Backwards, Broken and Incorrectly", met with acclaim from fans and critics alike. Foxy Digitalis’ Chris Jaques said “…PLI threatens to rip apart the fibers that make up North American culture... play at your own risk.” giving it an 8 out of 10. The Painful Leg Injuries are also known for their weekly podcast which was launched in 2005 and now has twice the amount of listeners than the average podcast. Every week they explore some new area of experimental electronic music and concept driven sound art.
