A breezy blend of fresh folk rock. This disc's ecclectic arrangements, catchy melodies, and upbeat, backbeat, offbeat feel make for an authentic creation and an original sound that is bound to make things sparkle.
Bio / Background
Enter Mark J. Pagano, Star Child. He was born(1981)during the space age as representatives of Mankind were floating aimfully overhead, achieving great feats.
Since then, the pace has been set. Peaceful, steady, rock and roll. Along the way he picked up a guitar and learned to play. Staying in tune while earning a degree from an accredited land-grant university, he rang out some gigs in Columbia, Missouri.
As a local favorite, he spent some time as The Next Big Thing.
While making his name soaring solo, Pagano got his ear stuck in the draft of a new sound, something sweet and mellow, a wooded wind(clarinet)and a sounding bass. It was good.
So Mad Mark and the Gardeners spent some time rocking out. The whole thing rolled like an autumn ball. Momentous and vibrant, bouncing from hand to outstretched hand.
But the newest year is here and Pagano is throwing down. Back in his home town of St. Louis, he's been spotted around town with The Fashionists.
↓ more ↓Rumor has it: he's been in the studio. Here's to a new epoch, fer shiz.
-Arthur Patnaude (2004)
"Hit Your Mark" was completed in November of 2004. A home recorded, studio tweaked, collaboration of old band mates and dear friends from years past, this debut album is truly a complete production. Dedicated to the Lovers of the Universe, "Hit Your Mark" can best be thought of as a concept album about following your dreams.
Mark Pagano currently lives in St. Louis, where he works with various performance groups, refugee populations (www.stlcenterforsurvivors.org), and the youth in general. He has also begun work on new material for a follow up to "Hit Your Mark," to be released sometime in the Future.
