Bio / Background
Born out of a desire to make music so heavy that it could not be denied, PACKAGE unleashed their assault on the Atlanta music scene in 1998. "Most of us had been in bands before, but this was different," says guitarist Anthony Pilgrim. "The reaction we got from our first show was so intense...we knew we had something here."
PACKAGE's sound is based on a menacing combination of thick, groove-laden riffs, creatively pummeling hardcore and tribal beats, and vocals that can best be described as abrasive. Their relentless approach seems to be catching on. Gigs with the likes of Superjoint Ritual, Hatebreed, Full Blown Chaos, Crowbar, Six Feet Under, Malevolent Creation and Stuck Mojo have left audiences clamoring for more.
In a scene not known for embracing opening acts, especially unsigned bands, PACKAGE attacks without fear or mercy. "As far as I'm concerned," says vocalist Alan Strange, "I don't care who you came to see. When we're on stage it's a PACKAGE show...
