Blend the attitude of '70's U.K. New Wave with sucker-punch, killer hooks .. then you have discovered: Otherside .. a band that musically kicks you upside the head. They're a guitar led band, with a sound not unlike the Cocteaus', Magazine and New Order.
Bio / Background
Ken Worthing recruited Trevor Eynon to work on his new project back in 2005.
They'd known each other since the mid '80's and formed a 4 piece New Wave/Agit-Pop band together in the early '90's.
When that band dissolved after one well received 12" single, Trev moved to London and away from making music, while Ken stayed in Shropshire and continued to make demos ( .. for his own amusement) for most of the mid-late '90's.
Ken decided to go solo in 2002 and spent the next couple of years making and releasing 2 albums for his own Kebabylon Productions label.
When Trev moved back up to Shropshire in 2005, Ken invited him to work on the new project.
After pressing a few acetates, Ken began writing the album that you're now reading about .. 'Looking For The Fine Line'.
Ken has never forgotten his Indie roots and 'Otherside' has been likened to New Order and The Banshees crossed with Morrisey and The Gang Of Four.
Meanwhile, an intermediate album ('Audible Traces - Vol.
↓ more ↓1') collects 'Othersides' first 2 E.P's, plus 16 rare, unreleased and hard-to-find tracks and was released in June 2007.
Ken's currently working hard in the studio on the follow up to 'Looking For The Fine Line' to be released late 2007.
