and John Niemann combines brilliant artistry and heap of fun
(Minneapolis, Minn.) ⎯ Their fans remember them well. The Mando Boys, four outrageously attired guys who played music so stunning the audience didn’t know whether to laugh themselves sick or leap to their collective feet in spontaneous standing ovation.
Now they’re back — at least in a recorded version. Peter Ostroushko has collected live tour recordings of the quartet spanning eight years and culled them into a dazzling new album: The Mando Boys Live — Holstein Lust, the Midwestern Tours 1987–1995.
