Bio / Background
Organical is committed to exploring the shadows between genres. Influences range from early heavy metal, Spaghetti Westerns, neo-industrial music and 60's french pop music. Among the many artists that Organical admires and draws inspiration from are Coil, Radiohead, Black Sabbath, Calexico, Foetus, Can and Jeff Buckley. Organical welds the tools provided by the great art of the past to creat a new lifeform, Postmodern Gothic, in which they can create tales of machines and monsters, filling their music with ever-expanding spirals of beauty and desolation.
Organical originated in 1998 by singer/guitarist Steve Jelliman after his departure from Industrial Metal pioneers Malhavoc, a band Steve spent several years with, recording 4 CD's and touring throughout North America. At first conceived as a studio project, Organical evolved into a 5 piece band in order to perform live the material from the Organical debut CD "Psyche Self-Defense.
