Oral Fuentes
The out-door stage at the SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival in Saskatoon, Sk. Canada was well packed, as Oral and the boys shake the entire area with a mixture of Reggae, Soca, Punta Rock and Bruk-down(music from Belize). Kevin Tobin the Artistic Director of the Jazz Festival was impressed. Also, impressed was Mark Sabbatini a writer from "All About Jazz." He wrote"Oral Fuentes is a larger funk/reggae collaboration that, unlike Friday's shows, is heavy on fresh material and interactive jams.
It's one of the few times all week I see a decent number of people dancing and the only performance I witness that gets calls for an encore."
The Odeon Events Centre in Saskatoon is another place you can always find Oral and the Band. Usually anywhere from 600-1000 people comes out for their Caribbean/Latin Parties.
