Bio / Background
Jon O'Bergh is a keyboardist, composer and producer whose musical textures blend a multi-ethnic sound combining elements of New Age and World music. He graduated from the University of California at Irvine, where he studied classical piano. He has produced 4 CDs, including his latest, "Meditations from a Lost World" (2002), which reached #3 on the New Age Voice chart; "Sacred Spaces" (2001), a musical blend of chants, prayers and sacred texts; "Carta" (2000), which remained at the #1 spot on the New Age Voice chart for two months; and "Millennial Landscapes" (1999).
"Sacred Spaces" is an exploration of the human experience of divine spirit. Using chant, prayer, bells, world instruments and voices from various spiritual traditions, Jon O'Bergh weaves a gentle sound that captures a sense of the sacred across cultures.
