The debut CD from Los Angeles-based rock band, Nickel.
Bio / Background
Bio:
Nickel is a band from Los Angeles, California that started off as a 3-piece group featuring Tom McDermott (guitar/vocals), Robert Schmidt (bass/vocals) and Fabrizio Munoz (drums). Mike McLaughlin would later take over on drums for the next stage of the band's life. During this period, the band's full-length album, "Stupid Thing" was recorded. Tom Hite layed down some keyboard tracks then joined the band shortly thereafter.
Thanks to the efforts and funding of screenwriter and director, Grant Wheeler (along with the help of many others), a video of the song, "Stupid Thing" was produced. This helped to promote the band's music - some fruits of which included being featured on an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", MTV and radio play.
