Raw, IN-YOUR-FACE Blues Rock. Fiery guitars, funky grooves, Pop piano and reflective lyrics make "Ripple" a thick web of texture that'll wrap around your soul; feat. sax by Will Scruggs.
Bio / Background
הרשׁלـצויּ was born in DeLand, Florida and moved to Atlanta in 1990. He instantly began carving his career path with exemplary musicianship and songwriting. "Ripple" is an example of his mature insight, dealing with spiritual growth and metamorphosis. Fiery, dueling guitars tame the spirited lyrics while piano, saxophone, bass, drum set and a wide variety of hand percussion lay tight grooves.
Actively involved in music his whole life, Nick began as an independant contractor, performing and recording with various bands around the Southeastern US. After exploring many genres and discovering his passions, he decided to write and produce an LP of 10 originals: "RIPPLE." Naturalist, spiritualist, environmentalist; his stylistic influences are vast but it's all about the Blues.

"Nick gives us a bit of a sophisticated take on rock, while at the same time managing to leave a certain rawness still intact thereby giving the whole sound a greater depth of feeling than you generally expect from this approach. The track of the album is "Kentucky Sun", a great piece of mid-tempo guitar rock with just a hint of country and a wonderfully catchy beat. "Tripping" has a bit of a heavier, 'Hendrix-esque' rock feel that will appeal to those of you who like your guitar solos to be searing and effects laden. On the other hand "Sign From Above" is a slower, almost gentle, piece of rock. Part power ballad and part stadium rock, "A.J.E." is Nick's attempt at a more extravagant rock sound, and he manages to pull it of with a mixture of soaring instrumentation coupled to a plaintive saxophone and piano backing."

"Tasteful Blues Rock is on the menue from Atlanta dude Nick Edelstein, whose album 'Ripple' features him tearing through tunes both bluesy and funky; there's a little Stevie Ray in there, some Hendrix and even a twinge of the Chili Peppers from the rhythm section of Scott Brown on bass and Monte Coursey on drums."
