Bio / Background

Singer, songwriter, and guitar swinging front woman of the trio billed under her name, Marlee Napurano brings a new sound to three old genres: pop, rock, and folk.

With a mixture of smooth, intimate ballads and driving rock licks,she washes her experiences over her audience.

Marlee's perceptive lyrics and her vocal style somewhere between Ani Defranco and Ella Fitzgerald have landed her in great rooms in Manhattan including the Elbow Room, the Bitter End, and Henrietta Hudson's, as well as national festivals like the Digital Club Festival, NY and Southern Decadence, New Orleans-- even at the White House for the 75th birthday of the Women's Bureau.

In their 30th Anniversary Issue, Interview Magazine cited Marlee as one of New York's notable new faces in the wake of the release of her self-produced record, "starting."

Besides making waves on the internet winning her the "Artist of the Week" slot on the former BillboardTalentNet.com and scoring her a spot on London's peoplesound.
