There's something about a live acoustic performance that transcends anything that you can pull off in a studio; there are no tricks, no gimmicks, just an artist up on a microphone with a guitar trying to impart their essence. This CD was pulled together from a single live performance in a cavernous art gallery, and it really catches the intimacy and expressiveness of a Namoli Brennet show, complete with crowd noise and cell phones. It's kinda raw, edgy, sweet and very intimate, very REAL. You can almost hear the risk, the tiptoeing up to the edge, where all the best stuff happens.
