Nafeesa Monroe's Poetic Bio:
A coincidental plane ride to New York lead Nafeesa to Da' Poetry Lounge where her transformation from occasional poem writer to spoken word artist took place. Less than a year later, she found herself a part of the 2001 Hollywood / Miracle Mile Slam team, ranked 17th nationally.
