Bio / Background
In October of 1997, five close friends joined hand and heart to breathe life into a newborn entity of melody and emotion. The musical creation was dubbed musica silentis doloris (roughly translated from Latin, music for the silent suffering) , and became the embodiment of their combined passion and inspiration. With haunting melodies, heartfelt aggression, and their powerful stage performance, MSD rapidly obtained one of Kentucky's largest and most devoted followings which would continue to expand each time they claimed the stage. The name of MSD spread like fire as they stole every opportunity to gain experience and recognition. In 1999, they won the Bellarmine College Battle of The Bands. A string of hit songs placed the band in the position of most requested unsigned band on Louisville Kentucky's largest rock station, WTFX 100.5, for three solid years.
