"mr. whirly's sound certainly remains loyal to their home state. Since the mid-eighties, when the Replacements, Gear Daddies, Jayhawks, etc. combined their punk, country and Cheap Trick influences, Minnesota has been a hotbed for this kind of stuff. When it's done right (as in the case of the [CD]), it makes for a very easy listen. The production values of this recording are fantastic. The songs are very hummable, and all the vocalists (all three of 'em), have solid, nicely tuned voices ... this is a keeper." CAKE magazine
