Mr. Joe is a senior citizen - very young at heart - whose original songs give a humorous interpretation of the life around him. His most enthusiastic supporters are the college age crowd.
Bio / Background
Mr. Joe is a retired music therapist who presently teaches courses in that area at Texas Woman's University in Denton. He holds degrees in music from Southern Methodist University and the American University. He is a published composer and member of ASCAP since 1983. He has received the annual standard award from ASCAP since 2000.
The songs on this CD began with some things that he shared with his students at the university. Their positive reaction prompted him to take his performances to local venues, where the audiences are also made mostly of young college types. The songs defy description and categorization, but most are humorous in nature.
