Bio / Background
First The Root, Then The Vine came from the music I heard from my childhood and hanging out at the Howard Theater in Washington D.C.. Music has played a major part in my life. My Mother, God rest her sole worked cleaning a Country Radio Station(WARL)in Arlington Va. when I was a kid. Anything other than Country Music they would drop into a cardboard box for the trash man. I wanted these songs so much that my mother would bring them home.
I would sit in the floor with my little record player and play them over and over until they were apart of me. This went on for several years. All of this remarkable music has filled my heart and touched my soul for many, many days to come.
Now the time is here for me to share what I've heard and learned from this music. I'll always bring them home to you even better than they first came to me.
