There is a new band in the neighborhood intent on resurrecting the blues. From old nuggets such as “Good Morning Little School Girl” and “44 Blues” to their Zappaesk rendition of “La Grange meets Willie the Pimp” Blue Mozart twists and turns the blues into new shapes. The band formed one year ago is starting to make a mark in clubs formally playing metal, folk rock and traditional blues.
Mozart Rottweiler the bands leader says “I was trying to find a way of playing classic blues that would transcend the genera, and with this bunch of musicians I think I have found the right formula. Using musicians who are veterans of different areas of music brings a new color to the blues. I like to think of it as the “Black and Blues”. Sometimes I feel more like a ring master then the leader.

Great album of blues cover tunes done in a new way. Songs are high energy and all sound new even though the songs are root tunes that have been done many times.
