Bio / Background
Tom Mowrey's "Never Alone" highlights not only his skills as a guitarist, but as a composer, arranger and producer. This eclectic mix of original instrumental guitar music "jazz, rock, solo acoustic, celtic, inspirational" features Christian recording artist and world renowned guitarist Phil Keaggy, legendary jazz guitarist Joe Negri, and Glass Harp drummer John Sferra. Also helping out on this cd are some very fine back-up musicians.
Mowrey says, "It's a real blessing to have great musicians assisting on my album. John Sferra is an
incredible drummer with a great rudimental sense. The stuff that he does with just his kick, snare, and hi-hat are amazing. Phil Keaggy has been my biggest guitar influence. His ears and hands are amazing; he's very gifted. He has covered pretty much everything in music. Joe Negri is the most tasteful jazz player I know. He's so full of swing, he's very classy. I studied with him for a while and he had a really big impact on my phrasing.
