Bio / Background
The songs were recorded back in 1999-2000 with a music producer named Michael Costanzo from Long Island, New York. He produced, mixed and engineered the album. I co-produced.
Mike also worked on the music and I delivered all the lyrics and vocal melodies.
The photos used for this CD were taken by a good friend named Sylvek back in 2001.
The title LUCY Y FER was taken directly from one of the songs that the Mexican darkwave rock group Santa Sabina recorded. It was used as a subtitle for their song called La Garra.
This first CD album has a special place in my heart because a lot of drama went along with it throughout the years I recorded it. Many demo CDs were created from the songs used in this album. Many opinions were given in regards to the direction I was taking artistically speaking. And many interesting replies were given in regards to my primitive vocal performance.
It was in 1999 that I decided to just let go and not be afraid to express whatever I was feeling at the time.
↓ more ↓I desperately needed to let things flow more naturally! That's where songs like Feminine Boy and Star were created. They were created out of frustration and anger I have to admit. The songs got so dark and intense that I wasn't afraid to express my despair even in a "satanic" way. Of course all in a metaphorical way. I'm not interested in being all anti-christian per say but I will admit that I have some fascination with the subject of demonology. For better or for worse, I find the story of Lucifer falling from heaven dramatic and inspiring. To this day, I'm not sure if most people can really understand and appreciate that perspective.
Anyways, after I finished the recording sessions I hit a wall and found myself a little confused by what I wanted in music as a career. I had unrealistic goals back then and it took me about 4 years to realize that. So it wasn't until 2004 that I finally documented the songs officially on a CD.
