The Mitguards is a three piece band featuring Chris Mitguard on acoustic guitar and vocals, Debbie Mitguard on mandolin and vocals, and Dave Gallupe on bass, acousic and electric guitars, and vocals. Their sound is unique and distinct, a hybrid of musical styles that includes traditional folk, blues, bluegrass, swing and roots. Their original songs and unusual musical arrangements consistently weave humor and tragedy throughout the stories they tell. They have the ability to lyrically portray the complex tapestry of America while reflecting the country's diverse musical history.
Chris is the songwriter for the band and has been writing songs since he was a young boy in the 1960's.
