Bio / Background
The Misfit Toys is a Gainesville, Florida band. Our lead singer Sarah, with eight years of live performance experience, fronts the band with decades of combined musicianship. Our songs are mostly original in a modern rock/pop style, with a touch of other genres heard in many of the songs.
This CD was recorded over a period of nine months and reflects the different moods and styles of the band. Produced, engineered and mixed by Lucio Rubino (Story Side B), and mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound (he's awesome) in New York city, the album is the first, but not the last, that will come from a talented group of songwriters and musicians.
Band members include Sarah Hoffman, Bruce Barkwill, Chet Honeycutt and Richard Bassil and all have writing credits on the album in addition to other talented songwriters that are friends of the band. Take a listen to the samples to hear what we're all about.
