"Sun-drenched indie-pop meets avant-garde instrumentalism on Mira Mira's assured yet eclectic debut." --Alan Brown, Popmatters Review (6/10)
"Williams, a classically trained pianist, brings serious chops to smart but accessible avant-pop songs that couch introspective lyrics inside pretty, fractured melodies." -- Eric Danton, Hartford Courant
"My choices for coolest bubbling-under sounds continue with Mira Mira... Fans of the blissful electronic/ambient pop of the Album Leaf or Sigur Ros should love the entrancing album "Midnight for You." For live shows, Williams is joined by fellow musicians on synthesizers, drums and cello, which should make Mira Mira's music even more seductive on stage than on record.

"It's pop music for thoughtful people, especially if you happen to be pondering false-start romances, endless nights, hopeful dawns… This is music for the New Sincerity, these are musicians (all apparently highly trained multi-instrumentalists) who wear lopsided red construction paper hearts pinned to both sleeves." [Suitcasepublishing.com]
"An introspective piece of work." Mark Hornickel writes in a Kenosha News feature Jan 29, 2006: "With a handful of skippy melodies and plinky piano-laden pop songs, it's hard initially to decipher the tough-luck emotions behind a lot of Williams' songs. [The album] opens with 'Breathe', a combo of droning synthesizer and drum beating that's joines by the soft, airy vocals of Williams and Chicagoan Kristin Serafini. The ensuing, more poppy tracks, starting with 'Everything is Happening', delve into the subjects of love, change, and having to go to places you'd rather not. But the mood drops back down again with the beautiful title track and a set of trance-like compositions to close out the album. The album's final track evokes something like the feeling of lying in a wide open space and staring at an illuminated night sky with the moans of a freight train passing in the distance."
