An alternative rock trio with radio friendly songs and a big sound.
Bio / Background
Miles of Empty is a Chicago born and based alternative rock trio, and although classified in this genre, the group is hardly typical of it. You don't have to dig deep to reveal the band's unique qualities, and simply listening to the CD or catching a live show will do that.
Their new music will be out in Spring of 2007. "We are recording and releasing twelve new songs, three at a time." Says drummer Carlo Cooper who also manages the band.
Miles of Empty's retains a sound all its own. The bands live sound is every bit as powerful and polished as its studio sound, and performing live is really where the band exceeds your expectations for a three-piece act. Fans will confirm, "you can't believe this much music comes from only three musicians!"
Miles of Empty formed in 2001 and is comprised of Mario Kaehn on vocals and guitar brother James Kaehn on bass, and Carlo Cooper on drums. Answering an ad from a drummer looking for a "serious band", the Kaehns met up with Carlo.
↓ more ↓After two jam sessions, "We all decided this was a winning union," said James, and they formed an unknown, unnamed band. Since forming the band has played several clubs around Chicago and has been featured on WXRT 93.1FM's Local Anesthetic.
"We are fortunate to be able to be a band for six years and going strong. We believe that our best music is about to be released this Spring of 2007." Says Carlo.
