Bio / Background
Throughout the years, I’ve developed a theory about music and what I like to see in musicians. As long as I can tell that the person playing the music is really feeling what s/he is doing, then I can feel it too. With that said, I hope I’ve been able to uphold this same principle for any listeners.
As you listen to Only a Moment, you may notice that there are a few tracks which contain Japanese lyrics. The Japanese language and culture has had quite an impact on my life. There is a Japanese phrase -- ‘一期一会’ or ‘ichigo-ichie’ -- or ‘one time, one encounter,’ which basically describes the philosophy that no two experiences are exactly the same, despite how similar they may be. Because of this, the phrase is a reminder for us to cherish each encounter we experience; from every ‘laughter-filled’ conversation to every ‘piss-you-off’ argument.
For me, Only a Moment presents significant experiences in my life that have influenced me greatly.
