Smooth Jazz
Bio / Background
Miguel Gonzalez has been teaching and performing for twenty years. His musical career started in Caracas, Venezuela when, at an early age he studied classical guitar with Alejandro Rodriguez and jazz with Gonzalo Mico, while simultaneously studying cello and theory at the Landaeta Conservatory of Music.
His talent and versatility as a guitarist, soon afforded him the opportunity of performing internationally with famous South American artists as well as with his own jazz trio. Looking for new frontiers in music, Miguel came to New York City in 1997, where he performed and recorded his first CD album with his Jazz trio, Visions.
In the year 2000, Miguel moved to Fort Lauderdale and soon began performing throughout South Florida. He also taught at the Mars Music Learning Center in West Palm Beach where he was acclaimed as "one of the most talented and creative jazz guitarist, and a teacher of extraordinary depth and ability".

Presently, Miguel performs and teaches in South Florida

Good mix of cool jazz & latin jazz, check out the classic Harlem Nocturne, a new, fresh rendition.
