Microton, a Dallas- based band, was originally forged when cousins Dunagin and Philip began playing guitar, singing, and song writing together in the mid-nineties. Having a vast array of great artist influencing them, the group has forged a unique musical styling and lyrical content. Microton was well under way and even during the early years they had an incredible musical vision.

The fruition of their vision began to take shape in the late nineties, when drummer Javier Martinez joined Dunagin and Philip. Shortly after Javier joined, Joe Becker kicked in on bass guitar. At this time Dunagin was still playing guitar. In order for Dunagin to fully concentrate on his tremendous vocals, rhythm guitarist, John McConlogue was asked to join Microton.
