Bio / Background
Made in Bombay, born and raised in the UK, and now San Francisco-based, Micropixie defies easy classification on her stunning debut album. Inspired, imaginative, and disarmingly personal, "Alice in Stevie Wonderland" gives listeners an inside perspective on MPX's curious and epic journey as an alien trying on the human experience.
Alice in Stevie Wonderland weaves sensuous instrumentation - both electronic and organic - with intricate vocal textures (courtesy of MPX's Innit Choir). The album's unlikely narrative covers a wide range of genres, tempos and emotions as MPX confronts terrestrial themes of identity, conformity, mind control, solitude, and confusion; fortunately however, the Mothership beams down a timely reminder of her mission via the universal truths of divine intelligence: love, hope, evolution and harmony.
